At Fitness Troops, our principles are a big part of who we are. To us, they are common sense;
essentials pieces to any healthy relationship. We use them as way to guide our business. We
use them as reminders of the behavior we want to demonstrate every day.
Our guiding principles:
- Partnership
- Dedication
- Honesty & Integrity
- Enjoyment
Partnership
Exercising and maintaining a healthy diet are much simpler habits to maintain if youve got a
partner. Thats a role we intend to fill. Dont forget your fellow boot camp troops either. Participating
in the boot camp already gives you common interests and an informal support and motivational system.
Dedication
Getting fit and staying fit. Eating healthy and staying healthy. Both require dedication. In becoming
your partner, were dedicated to you forming good habits around eating and exercising. We dedicate our efforts
to removing hurdles to your success. We wont always have the answers, but we are dedicated to working with you
to get issues resolved.
Honesty & Integrity
The fitness industry has so much shouting going on about how best to lose weight and who best to do it
with. The shouting and claims make it hard to believe whos telling the truth. We wont guarantee you
achieve your goals. We cannot guarantee youll lose 30 lbs in 30 days or be ready to run a 10K marathon
in 2 weeks time. If you dont show the dedication, you wont succeed. If we dont challenge you appropriately
and give you the tools you need to succeed, we both fail. We always strive to “give it to you
straight.” That may mean we push you to stretch out some of your fitness goals over a longer period of time.
If we cannot provide you with the tools you need to win, it could mean we even suggest other alternatives
(much as it would pain us) that dont involve us.
Enjoyment
Are we on your wavelength yet? We believe everyone wants the tenets weve espoused here in any business
(and even personal) relationship. So our final tenet is that the experience is enjoyable. Whats the best job
in the world? The job that doesnt feel like work because you enjoy it so much. If you arent enjoying the
experience, its that much harder to continue to succeed. If were not enjoying the experience, were failing
you and ourselves.
