About The Company
We're the brainchild of Annette & Greg Vogel. After years in the corporate world, we've decided
to make the switch to the purely healthy activities of fitness and diet. We founded the company in
November, 2007.
One of our first endeavors was defining our principles. Having a set of
principles to guide us is very important to us. They help us give our customers the best service
possible. They help us end each day knowing we're doing good by all those that our business touches.
We also decided very early that we couldn't hold on to our principles if we were beholden to the business
practices of others. So we specifically avoided taking advantage of the numerous opportunities to
purchase a boot camp franchise. The flexibility to change our business as quickly as possible to
help our customers is highly valued by us.
Now that we've established Fitness Troops, we treat it as its own entity and we are the current stewards.
This means we treat our company as the property of others, of you, our customers and we are charged
with taking care of the business, like we would care for a loved one. We intend for Fitness Troops to enjoy a
long life that we may someday hand off to other worthy stewards.
About The Founders
Annette's been an avid basketball player ever since her high school JV and varsity days. She loves
to play and spends four to five days a week playing pickup games at local parks. Annette
also enjoys the competition of the local Parks & Recreation women's league.
Greg has enjoyed beach volleyball and snow skiing through high school and college. During his "corporate
years," Greg picked up some new sports habits: snowboarding and ice hockey. Ice hockey has been a
challenge since Greg's ankles have always been a week spot for him. However, the fast pace of the game
and camaraderie make the heavy breathing and sweating (oh yes, hockey players sweat like crazy in the
ice cold arena) worth it.
We work as a team. Greg handles the "paper shuffling" activities of the business. Annette manages the
training activities. If you need to contact either one of us, give us a call at (818) 660-2739, using our
